2023 Plan to Protect® Refresher with COVID-19
We have socially distanced ourselves for months, and as we transition back into programs, so much has changed. This training is designed for volunteers and staff needing refresher training to learn the best practices when reentering from a pandemic. We will cover best practices on meeting governmental requirements, health and safety tips (protection from the spread of the virus), registering and maintaining documentation of attendees (a requirement in some States and Provinces), etc. We will also cover common policies and procedures that should be modified due to COVID-19.
This training contains the following modules:
- COVID-19: In this module, we will cover some of the best practices in transitioning back from COVID-19.
- Abuse Awareness: In this module we will address what abuse is and how prevalent it is. We will discuss the definitions and indicators of abuse and global statistics.
- Reporting & Response: In this module we will address reporting and responding to child abuse and vulnerable adult abuse. When we truly understand that we have a duty to report and respond to abuse, we will be able to protect the individuals we work with. (Approximate Time: 25 minutes)
- Best Practices: In this module we will address best practices for organizations working with the vulnerable sector. These best practices include supervision, staffing, ratios, registration, attendance, and transportation.
