Special Interest: Youth Volunteers and Staff
A 2013 General Social Survey on Giving, Volunteering and Participating found that for more than a decade youth have volunteered more than any other age group. For example, they found that 53% of Canadians aged 15-24 are involved in volunteering. Is your organization utilizing youth volunteers and staff? What screening and training should you be doing and can you even do for youth? What policies should you have in place? How young is too young? Do they always need to be supervised by adults? Let’s Plan to Protect®!
This recorded webinar is designed for organizations and churches who utilize youth volunteers and staff. If you truly desire to engage youth effectively, it’s critical that we develop a plan. In this webinar, Victoria Bissell, Director of Training at Plan to Protect®, will cover what screening and training is recommended for a HIGH STANDARD of protection with youth volunteers and staff. We will also provide practical tips for engaging, supervising and supporting youth volunteers and staff. We will also take a look at potential risk associated with youth volunteers and staff as well as ways we can reduce the risk. Let’s raise the bar on protection!
